After graduating from Stanford University Medical School, Reini completed her Family Practice Internship at the University of Utah, and Residency at the University of California, San Francisco at San Francisco General Hospital. Upon finishing her training, she returned to the Sierra Nevada to pursue her goals of working as a small town family doctor, following in the footsteps of three previous generations of rural doctors in the Eastern Sierra.
Dr. Jensen’s current interests include the full spectrum of Family Medicine: from newborn to geriatrics. Her special interests are in children and adolescents and women’s health. Also, she has strong training in sports medicine and in-hospital care of patients. She is fluent in Spanish and an avid rock climber and telemark skier.
She’s been active in the medical staff leadership at Tahoe Forest Hospital and is on the board for several local community non-profit organizations, most recently chairing the Family Resource Center of Truckee board. In addition to her work locally, she volunteers for and is on the medical board of One HEART – a maternal and child health program in Tibet.
