Chris is a native Californian and has spent much of his life living in many of its different communities, from San Diego, to Los Angeles, to the Central Valley, to the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently resides in Truckee. He spent several years living abroad during his medical education, completing his medical degree at St. George's University in Grenada and later working in England for six months.
Chris first realized his desire to go into medicine while playing high school football. Like many players, he had multiple injuries, and he gained a unique perspective on sports medicine through his father who worked as one of the team physicians. He continues to be an avid athlete, though now mostly on weekends when he skis, camps, hikes, waterskis, and enjoys other outdoor activities with his wife and two young sons. Chris still incurs typical injuries himself, so he knows first hand what it's like to be sidelined by an injury and wanting to recover as quickly as possible.
Chris takes a particular interest in treating acute injuries. Though with his background in family medicine and sports medicine, he enjoys treating varied injuries in patients from the very young to the elderly, whether they happen on the ski hill or from a simple fall.
